Mariam Assefa retired as the Executive Director and the longest serving member of the WES team. Under her leadership, WES became the now-largest foreign credential evaluation organization in North America and is on target to help almost half a million educated individuals meet their U.S. or Canadian educational and workplace goals per year.

I know from experience that the recognition of skills is an essential part of integrating and reintegrating migrants, refugees and marginalized workers into the labor market and society at large. Putting the power of skill profiling, career orientation, career re-orientation, upskilling, reskilling and job matching into the hands of individuals is imperative and I believe that SkillLab can be the company to achieve this.
